I believe that effective supervision, coaching and mentoring of EMDR therapists, whether newly trained or not, has a dramatic impact on therapist confidence, technical proficiency and client outcomes. I also specialise in attachment-informed EMDR, the Flash Technique, Dream Completion Technique and intergenerational trauma. I strongly believe in continuous improvement and learning when it comes to my own EMDR practice and am passionate about sharing this knowledge with supervisees.
I offer EMDR supervision online using the Zoom platform. This can be on a regular or ad-hoc basis, and also include working to accreditation as an EMDR Europe Practitioner or Consultant. I also provide group supervision to NHS and charity groups. Individual supervision is currently £135 per 50 minutes. Please contact me for further details.
I also teach a 4-hour webinar, 'Tuning up your EMDR practice' which covers the key areas of case conceptualisation, enhanced processing, session structure and new metaphores for trauma/EMDR. The aim is to make your EMDR practice more effective and enable you to utilise EMDR as a comprehensive psychotherapy with a wide variety of client presentations. It builds on my accumulated experience and includes client demonstrations and handouts. Extended to 4 hrs in 2024.
Learning Outcomes:
- Understand how to move from a worksheet driven formulaic approach to the flexible use of EMDR through the 8 phases for all types of client presentations
- Gain knowledge of different types of case conceptualisation and how it can be applied during History taking
- Understand how other approaches such as Flash Technique, Attachment Informed, Parts/ego state approaches integrate with EMDR when working with complex trauma and other presentations.
- Develop strategies to improve the effectiveness of EMDR processing, including dealing with blocking beliefs, feeder memories and creating interweaves
- Learn about common EMDR pitfalls, session structure and new metaphors for trauma/EMDR
