The Practical Integration of the Flash Technique with EMDR Therapy with Dr Justin Havens (Last 2026 date - 27th Nov: Friday 0930-1245, New dates for 2027 5th Feb and 30th Apr)
This 3-hour webinar focuses on learning the basic procedural steps of the Flash Technique to enable you to desensitise very intense memories safely, and how to integrate within the 8 phases of the EMDR Standard Protocol. This is a really important technique, especially if working online, and we will cover how to reduce the trauma load during preparation and to transition seamlessly from Flash to EMDR processing.
The Flash Technique was developed by Dr Philip Manfield in 2016 (check out www.flashtechnique.com for webinars and research base), and has been enhanced over recent years to make it easier to use and more reliable. Although simple, it is sometimes not applied correctly, nor used precisely which is especially important when working with very intense traumatic memories.
This webinar includes video case studies as well as live demonstrations and builds on the accumulated experience of Justin Havens' use of Flash over the last 6 years. A 1 page summary of the Flash protocol, and how to use with multiple memories simultaneously is also included. 3 CPD points have been awarded by the EMDR UK Association and a certificate will be provided afterwards. A recording of the webinar will be available if you cannot attend. Registration will take you to a Paypal payment page (cost £90) although other payment methods are available. Please do register using the links below – your EMDR practice may never be the same again!
